Taylor’s ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ had been at the top of the Billboard Top 200 12 weeks after debuting.
Given its long reign at No. 1, the album set multiple records, but it has been toppled as Eminem recently released his own album. Forbes has pointed out that one more week at No. 1 would have seen Swift tie Stevie Wonder’s ‘Songs in the Key of Life’ from 1976 as the longest-reigning top debut album ever.
Unfortunately for the celebrity Kansas Chiefs fan, Eminem’s release of ‘The Death of Slim Shady’ has seen ‘TTPD’ knocked off the top spot as it’s gone on to fill that enviable berth.

“That sum is largely made up of streaming units, as the tracks featured on the project racked up an incredible 220 million plays on platforms like Spotify and Apple Music in the first tracking week the full-length was available. It also sold 114,000 copies, despite only being available to purchase digitally.”
While the probability of Taylor Swift’s album moving back to No. 1 remains high, it won’t break Stevie Wonder’s record, thanks to Eminem. Also Read: Eminem Was Caught On Camera Flipping Off 49ers Fans At NFC Title Game
