Kevin Costner’s Big Comeback: Returning to Yellowstone with an Exciting Three-Part Project!
Kevin Costner, best known for Dances with Wolves and his iconic role in Yellowstone, is once again diving into American history. Though he has parted ways with the fictional Dutton saga, his passion for the spirit of the West remains strong. Costner is set to host and executive produce Yellowstone to Yosemite, a three-part documentary premiering on February 8th on Fox Nation.
This new project retraces the historic 1903 journey of President Theodore Roosevelt through Yosemite Valley and Mariposa Grove. Guided by environmental advocate John Muir, Roosevelt’s experience in these breathtaking landscapes played a pivotal role in shaping the U.S. National Park system. Witnessing the beauty of the wilderness firsthand inspired Roosevelt’s commitment to conservation, leading to the protection of millions of acres of land.
Costner expressed his deep admiration for Roosevelt and Muir’s efforts, calling this story one of real-life heroism that changed the world for the better. The documentary will not only highlight Roosevelt’s conservation legacy but also explore the impact of westward expansion on Indigenous communities. Through Costner’s narration, viewers will gain a deeper understanding of how Roosevelt’s policies led to the creation of 150 national forests, five national parks, and the preservation of over 230 million acres of land.
Fox Nation president Lauren Patterson praised Costner as the perfect storyteller to bring this history to life. This isn’t his first venture into historical storytelling—he previously collaborated on Yellowstone 150, exploring America’s first national park, and more recently directed Horizon: An American Saga, an epic film chronicling the expansion of the West.
With Yellowstone to Yosemite, Costner once again showcases his passion for America’s natural beauty, history, and culture. Will you be tuning in for this breathtaking journey? Let us know in the comments!
