Agropoli, Italy resident Alfredo Lo Brutto took a picture of an alleged “figure” over the sea that has generated a lot of discussion online. Some claim it is a close replica of the Christ the Redeemer statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
The Daily Mail quoted Alfredo as saying, “I was enchanted by the view.” I don’t post photos on social media very frequently, but this one caught my eye right away, and I wanted everyone to see it since it was so stunning.
People on the internet are already discussing whether or not the image, which was taken over the Tyrrhenian Sea, resembles the aforementioned statue.
Naturally, others are quick to counter that the “figure’s” appearance is only a coincidence caused by a cloud formation that is benefited by the light coming from the water.
Although there have been other instances of this kind of verbal battle following the appearance of an image online, this one does include a good number of participants on both sides, it must be acknowledged.
Regardless, it’s unquestionably an amazing picture that beautifully captures the splendor of our planet.
